Tomorrow HML will be two months old (YAY) and to honor the occasion we are concluding the pregnancy photo series with our first official family portrait. It's kinda like the first official Royal Wedding portrait, only different.

Today is my due date - yet here I sit with a growing baby still in my tummy. It's funny to think that this date, something we have been talking about for months, will soon be overshadowed by an actual birth date. When I think about, it's a sad day for our due date, it's glory days are over and it's importance will soon be forgotten. So, in honor of today's occasion, it felt most appropriate to share this weeks pregnancy photo today...And to our special due date, we thank you. You helped us keep our eye on the prize, even if you didn't deliver as promised (we won't really hold that against you).

Over the weekend I was in Starbucks (wishing it was Stumptown) when a friendly lady started asking me all about the bump. She was very nice, but after learning that I had about 2 weeks left she completely crushed my dreams. You see, my new Starbucks pal declared "there was no way I was gonna be on time" because "my stomach just wasn't big enough" and that "it would probably be another month".
ANOTHER MONTH?
ANOTHER MONTH!!!
This is when I poured my scalding cup of decaf over her head :)

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, so this week we are channeling minimalism...Even though I have had a wonderful and easy pregnancy (knock on wood) I have officially crossed over. I want my body back, I want to eat sushi, I don't want to keep wearing the same thing everyday, I want three glasses of wine, I want to sleep on my stomach, and I want to finally meet my daughter!
I have been pregnant for 261 days (but who's counting :). I know good things come to those who wait, but this is starting to feel ridiculous.
