I have said this before and I will say it again, having children is like stepping into a time machine that is on supercharge fast forward. It's like one minute we're changing their diapers and literally the next minute they are changing ours - can I get an AMEN?!
When CML joined our crew, HML became a giant overnight. Everything of hers that felt so small, suddenly was enormous in comparison to to this new sweet boy. His fingers, his diapers, his clothing, even the little sounds that came out of his mouth, they were all so little - then I blinked - and he became huge.
CML stayed small for maybe a nanosecond, and is now well on his way to becoming a starting linebacker. He's transitioned into in his crib seamlessly, is almost sleeping through the night (knock on the wood), has outgrown the magic lamb swing, can almost hold his own bottle, and is already testing out his high chair. He is happy, friendly, adaptable, and can clearly communicate his needs.
The speed at which a child grows, and the ability to see that growth from day to day is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It's hard to not ask yourself where the time has gone, but when you look around, sometimes it becomes pretty clear.
HML's five month update here :)
PLEASE NOTE: I am fully aware that this teeny-weeny Wednesday post is happening on Friday :).
