There is something so intoxicating about this trailer for Tokyo Reverse, I simply can't look away. In these dreamlike shorts everything moves in reverse, except the subject (who walked the streets of Tokyo backwards for over nine hours :). The reactions by those around him are a welcome surprise while the soundtrack feels a little off. In this book Tim Mantoani photographed the people behind some of the world’s most recognized images and created Behind Photographs: Archiving Photographic Legends. This unique and historical project, features over 150 photographers holding their favorite or most iconic image, and also includes (on the bottom of each image) a story (written by each photographer) about their photo in their own penmanship (learn more here). This huge endeavor is available for purchase here, and brilliantly pays homage to those who are often hidden behind their own talent.
Maybe you never thought about it before, but isn't it crazy that most of these photos are totally recognizable, but most of us have no idea who took the picture?
