Typography Love

My love for Typography started a long time ago, and as a young girl I had an odd compulsion with lettering.  I could sit for hours experimenting with the shape of a letter, doodling in class, or addressing an envelope.  I think this interest was heavily fueled by my love of music and album cover art.  Looking back, the amount of time I just sat there staring at band titles and cover art, wishing that I was cool enough to make something that perfect, is astonishing (I spent hours and hours of my youth this way).  And here I sit, however many years later, still kinda thinking that same thing, except instead of albums covers (although I still do it with albums) it's about typography artists and calligrapher Alison Carmichael is at the top of my list.  Look closely at that pink poster, and you will see why she is extra special (and if you like it, you can purchase it here in her shop).
