A few weeks back, KL and I went to Sayulita, Mexico for MW & PS's wedding. We had so much fun celebrating and catching up with old friends, and I wanted to share (better late than never) some highlights from the trip. If you enjoy vacationing slightly off the beaten path, and have never made it here - you are totally missing out. It offers everything you might expect from a Mexican getaway (including Montezuma's revenge - sorry KL) but with less crowds and (therefor) less headache. Located about 45 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta, this small fishing village offers a wide variety of accommodations, activities, and yummy restaurants. We stayed at Casablanca which was a ten minute walk from downtown, and was located right on the beach. We liked the hotel, it wasn't fancy, but had everything we needed (including wireless internet) and a few things we didn't need like a kinda smelly bathroom (but looking past that) it was simple, clean, comfy and good. Many of the other wedding guests stayed at Villa Amour, which seemed to be the fanciest hotel in the area, and home to MW & PS's insanely beautiful villa and the location of their actual wedding. This hotel is really special - modern with perfect Mexican flairs, more stairs than you ever want to climb (it's literally situated on a cliff) but has gorgeous views and tons of privacy. It was the perfect spot for a wedding and I wish we were going back tomorrow...Si desean hecho tan!
